Basketball Planter
Planting Guide
Planting Guide
Use a 6” plant for your basketball planter. Remove the plant from its nursery container and gently loosen excess soil. Transfer a portion of the soil into the basketball, filling it to approximately 60% capacity. Position the plant inside the planter and add soil around the sides, pressing lightly until secure.
Optional:
Before adding soil, place a drainage layer at the bottom of the planter using pumice, gravel, pebbles, or similar material. A small amount of activated charcoal may be added to the base layer. Finish with sheet moss around the exposed soil surface, if desired.
PLANT CARE
When watering, less is more. Water slowly to allow even distribution throughout the soil. If excess water accumulates, tip the planter gently over a sink to drain. Avoid overwatering, as pooling at the base can affect plant health. Watering frequency will vary based on plant type and light conditions.
